Square Enix is ramping up promotion for Final Fantasy Resonance, which will see its release across multiple platforms on October 22 this year. Along with a new trailer and Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 pre-orders, the company shared with us some new details on a game that promises to push the limits of pixel art.
Final Fantasy Resonance builds upon a tale of crystals using the on-going HD-2D style Square Enix has cultivated these last years. Combined with a gameplay system that evokes the Final Fantasys of old, there's a lot here including chocobos, airships, and of course a turn-based battle system.
The world of Final Fantasy Resonance includes several cities, each of which have their own unique landscape and architecture.
