New Pokemon Release Has Difficulty Settings and 300 Regional Variants

Pokemon fans looking for something to keep them occupied until Winds and Waves releases next year have some fantastic options for fan games to play in the meantime. An upcoming Pokemon fan game aims to challenge players with a complete new approach to the official franchise games, taking heavy inspiration from the Etrian Odyssey series. Pokemon Odyssey 2 has a demo out now, so fans looking for a more difficult experience along with a massive batch of regional variants shouldn't sleep on it.

Pokemon doesn't have a major new mainline game releasing until Late 2027 when Pokemon Winds and Waves officially release. Aside from the starter Pokemon Browt, Pombon, and Geqcua, very few new Pokemon from Winds and Waves have been shared, so fans might be itching for more new Pokemon content during the wait for Gen 10. However, there is no shortage of Pokemon fan games to take players on adventures in all types of locations, such as a Pokemon region based on Ancient Greece.

Pokemon is giving fans early teasers about the upcoming release of Pokemon Winds and Waves with new events in its two ongoing games.
