Compelling, atmospheric, and brilliant, Silver Pines is a dive into mystery that's hard to put down and even harder to let go. It makes you feel like a detective, an action hero, and a man on the brink of uncovering horrifying darkness all at once.
Silver Pines is a cerebrally divine love letter to David Lynch and all the narrative trademarks he was known for, from the cult classic Twin Peaks to Blue Velvet and Lost Highway.
Silver Pines' gameplay won't appeal to younger players looking for agility and frenetic action, but that's precisely its purpose. The game evokes that 90s grittiness, except that beneath the surface lies much more.

Silver Pines is yet another excellent indie horror game and would not be out of place as part of the Silent Hill franchise. The combination of survival horror and more involved platforming exploration works fantastically well, while the town is chock-full of hidden secrets with enigmatic mysteries to solve.

Those looking for deep, demanding combat may come away disappointed. Twin Peaks taught us that the owls aren’t what they seem, and Silver Pines embraces that same philosophy. It may look like a tribute, but it plays like the real deal.

Silver Pines can't be called a groundbreaking horror game. However, it's a solid project with excellent atmosphere of magical mysticism, decent puzzles, and an interesting story. The only thing that can spoil the impression is the unsuccessful combat system.
