A new patent for the PS6 shows one area where it intends to improve over its predecessor, the PS5. It's worth noting that, as a patent, there's no guarantee that this is actually in the upcoming hardware, but it's also something that would make a lot of sense for the PS6 console.
The PlayStation 6 is essentially Sony's worst-kept secret, as while the company has not outright announced the next-gen hardware, plenty of real-world events have forced it to discuss plans for the future. As but one example, the PS6 is believed to be digital only because the company is shutting down PlayStation game disc production in January 2028. There's no reason to release a physical console in the Fall of 2027 if none of its games are going to have disc support, but for many folks, that means relying on the PS6 hardware to constantly be at its best.
