The Gundam franchise is officially making a return this October, and fans of the decades-old series may want to pay attention so as not to miss it. Since the release of the original anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam, back in 1979, there has been a lot. The IP has seen several other adaptations over time, including some of the best Gundam anime series, which are not necessarily the original material. Of course, Gundam has grown to be a fully fledged IP rather than an anime-exclusive franchise, and now, it’s getting even bigger.
The series has already dived deep into the world of video games, but now, it’s expanding its grasp even further into tabletop territory. As seen on the official Asmodee website, Bandai is releasing a new Gundam-themed tabletop game that will allow players to control some of their favorite Mobile Suits and face battleship-class units in strategic combat. The game has yet to be released, but it’d be best to keep it on your radar if you’re a fan of the franchise or tabletop games.
