As far as fantasy works go, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series really is one of the most deserving of all the credit it gets. The books are some of the bestselling in the genre of all time, but the franchise remains relatively underutilized over the last decade or so, in terms of adaptations to other mediums.
The most notable of those is almost certainly the Prime Video television release, which ran for three seasons before being pretty unceremoniously canceled by the streaming giant. Outside of that, it has been relatively slim pickings, but a new project is on the way that could easily become the most exciting of them all to date.
