The Witcher fans have had an undeniably great year after the official The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past DLC was confirmed to be in development for a 2027 release ahead of the launch of The Witcher 4. The DLC will reportedly bridge the narrative gap between The Witcher 3 and The Witcher 4, introduce a third sword to the mix, and likely do some work to begin passing the reins to Ciri as the lead protagonist.

That said, gamers have mostly been kept in the dark about the upcoming DLC since its unveiling, with CD Projekt Red holding their Gwent cards close to the vest. It's left fans speculating about how Songs of the Past will be implemented into The Witcher 3's narrative, whether they should start a brand-new playthrough ahead of its release, and if there will be new regions or areas introduced as well.

However, fans won't have to wait much longer, as The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past is getting an official teaser trailer that was just announced earlier this morning (via X).
