Nintendo Switch 2 may soon add one of the most acclaimed horror games of the past decade, as a dedicated version of SOMA has begun appearing on the platform's official digital storefronts. The Nintendo Switch 2 has been on a spree of enhanced ports from third-party publishers since launch, with a sizable lineup of horror games hitting the console recently.
Although SOMA may be over a decade old, it fits comfortably into the Switch 2's growing selection of horror games. The console's current library has seen an influx of respected titles in the genre, ranging from action-heavy survival horror games like Cronos: The New Dawn to slower psychological experiences like Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake. Frictional Games' SOMA emphasizes exploration, atmosphere, and storytelling over constant combat, helping it stand apart from many of the genre's more action-oriented releases. While the indie game has been one of the best horror games on the original Nintendo Switch, it appears that a new version has been listed.
The Switch 2 is getting an exclusive co-op horror game from a brand-new studio, blending great ideas from multiple genres into a single experience.
