Following a recent update to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, fans noticed that a popular feature was no longer working as it was previously. Despite being one of the worst kept gaming industry secrets earlier in 2026, it didn't manage to dampen any of the excitement from fans as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has quickly become a major hit for Ubisoft.

While building on the bones of an already popular entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise certainly helped, the substantial improvements and upgrades also had a big impact on players. Moving the game into the Anvil Engine resulted in visual enhancements, the game's stealth, parkour, and combat were also significantly improved over the original. Interestingly enough, Ubisoft was forced to completely rebuild Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, as old assets and code were simply unusable and too outdated. Ultimately, it can be argued that this further enhanced the final product despite the added development work.
