The upcoming Final Fantasy Resonance is set to see the return of Final Fantasy 16's protagonist Clive Rosfield as part of the game's roster of classic Final Fantasy characters. Despite debuting more recently than some of Final Fantasy Resonance's guest characters, Clive has become one of the most popular protagonists in the series thanks to his tragic story and phenomenal performance by voice actor Ben Starr. Now, Ifrit's Dominant returns in a new Final Fantasy game releasing on October 22.
While Final Fantasy 16 is one of the more controversial entries in the series, largely due to its shift towards full action RPG combat instead of the turn-based and Active Time Battle systems the series is known for, characters like Clive were a standout of the game. Watching Clive build relationships with characters like his brother Joshua and childhood friend Jill endeared him to many Final Fantasy 16 players. Clive will soon appear in a whole new context via his Vision in Final Fantasy Resonance.
Fans of Final Fantasy 10's Tidus will get to check him out in a brand new video game in late October 2026.
