Marvel Officially Unveils New Cyclops Design And Actor

Cyclops is one of the most iconic X-Men characters in Marvel history, and any major announcement surrounding the character inevitably attracts plenty of discussion. While Avengers: Doomsday may be the current hot topic in the Marvel universe, some big news surrounding other characters has been happening elsewhere.

One such example is Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, which recently revealed Deadpool, Blade, and Loki, following the announcement of the all-villains Knights of Doom team, led by none other than Doctor Doom, of course. The game has been striking a great balance between characters who are immensely popular and indulging in choices that are far more unpredictable, like adding Carnage and not Venom for the launch roster. At San-Diego Comic-Con 2026, its boldest character yet was revealed.

Announced at SDCC 2026, as shared on the official PlayStation Blog, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls revealed that the first post-launch Year 1 DLC character joining its roster will be Phoenix Cyclops. Amusingly, Phoenix Cyclops will be voiced by Ray Chase, who also voices Cyclops in the incredibly popular X-Men ’97 animated TV show.
