It really does feel like The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is one of the most underrated games in the series to date, with games like Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and The Wind Waker more often getting all the attention. At its core, Skyward Sword is just a really fun game to play, with great dungeons and combat, even if it does suffer from the occasional bloat.

As such, the lack of references it gets in the wider medium really does feel undeserved, and its long overdue another moment in the sun, whatever form that may end up coming in. Now, the game is seemingly playing a role in the DLC for an entirely different franchise, and it could be one of the most random places it has appeared in to date.

As first reported by Go Nintendo, Tetris 99 has just started a limited-time event that lets you unlock up to 41 collaboration themes from other major games and franchises on the platform, at a heavily discounted price. As part of that, Skyward Sword is set to feature, with one of the best looking themes of the bunch.
