Bethesda Officially Confirms Brand-New Detail About The Elder Scrolls 6

The Elder Scrolls 6 is Bethesda's primary focus of development right now, even if there are plates spinning for Starfield and Fallout too, and Todd Howard recently confirmed a defining feature of the upcoming game. Even so, the Fallout franchise probably has the most spinning plates with Fallout 3/New Vegas remasters, Fallout 5 being in pre-production, and the now-confirmed Obsidian Fallout game, but for Bethesda proper, The Elder Scrolls 6 is the focus.

Arguably, that should have been the case when The Elder Scrolls 6 was first announced back in 2018. If recent remarks from insiders are correct, then the upcoming Bethesda game's initial announcement may be at least a decade old. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier recently stated that The Elder Scrolls 6 would release in 2028 or 2029 after all, with Windows Central's Jez Corden also sharing similar information, and their words carry a decent amount of weight. How true that is remains to be seen, but at least fans know it'll use an advanced engine.
