A mod makes Red Dead Redemption 2 a whole new game by revolutionizing its bounty system. Bounties have long since been a part of the Red Dead formula: the original Red Dead Revolver included an unlockable "bounty hunter" mode, while Red Dead Redemption and its sequel included a series of optional bounties players could undertake for extra rewards. Similar, tiered bounty missions were carried over into Red Dead Online.

Bounty hunting is a staple of the Western genre, so it's no surprise they play such a big role in Red Dead. Now, though, you can experience a new type of bounty with an expansion by Red Dead modder Shtivi.

In the RDR2 mod Bounties Expansion - Replayable Bounties, uploaded to Nexus Mods by Shtivi, you'll be able to access 39 new bounties. These are based on the bounty system from RDR1, which was a lot more formulaic and less narrative-driven than that in RDR2. There are six to tackle in each town (except Armadillo), and each of these bounties is also replayable as many times as you like, so you can try different approaches or just collect the rewards multiple times in a row.
