Those who have already beaten Halo: Campaign Evolved during its early access period have shared what appears to be a tease that the developer is working on a Halo 2 remake next. In traditional franchise fashion, Halo: Campaign Evolved features a secret final cutscene for those who beat every mission on Legendary difficulty, and this one seems to tee up a remake of the beloved 2004 Sci-Fi sequel.

Quite a few Halo games have featured secret cutscenes for those who finish their campaigns on Legendary difficulty. These have ranged from gag endings, like the one in Halo: Combat Evolved that sees Sgt. Johnson hugging an Elite while the Halo ring blows up around them, to sequel teases, like Halo Infinite's Atriox secret ending, to lore expansions like Halo 3: ODST's Legendary cinematic that has Johnson teaming up with the rescued Huragok to access the Covenant Battle Network.

Halo’s future may be more uncertain than expected, with a new leak pointing to canceled projects and no clear roadmap beyond its upcoming remake.
