Pokemon GO players have a very short time to make sure they get a unique, super rare Pokemon before it's gone forever on August 1. Pokemon GO has seen plenty of events this summer, as the game celebrated its 10th anniversary, while the franchise overall turned 30 on Pokemon Day 2026, February 27. Between the hyped release of Pokemon GO's Mega Mewtwo X and Y and Mewtwo's increased accessibility, July has been a huge month for the game. However, fans can still catch one of the rarest Pokemon in the game, but they have to act fast.
Pokemon GO's Professor Willow Pikachu was also released this July, giving players a very short time to get the critter. Some Raids are still available for this costume-wearing version of Pikachu, but they end at 8 pm local time alongside the themed Timed Research. Fans who missed the event will likely have another go at it next year, as it's tied to Professor Willow's birthday. Yet another pressing deadline is upon fans, though, as the exclusive 10th anniversary Gimmighoul will leave the game forever on August 1.
