The Resident Evil franchise has been in a golden age for several years now, with fan-favorite remakes and sequels finally bringing the series back to what made it so special in the first place, alongside plenty of modern improvements. While we already have a general idea of what to expect from the Resident Evil franchise moving forward with several leaked remakes and a new story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem in the works, a recent leak suggests that Capcom is taking a bold new direction for the franchise with its upcoming expansions.
As noted by very frequent Resident Evil leaker AestheticGamer1 on X, not only will we be getting the Resident Evil Requiem story DLC in late 2027, but the upcoming Resident Evil Veronica remake will see a similarly large story expansion sometime after its release in 2028.
