If you weren't around for the really exciting early days of Left 4 Dead 2, they really were pretty special. Squadding up with a group of friends (or strangers), and just clearing out hordes of zombies was a feeling that few games had managed to create up to that point, and honestly, few have managed to do the same since.

That has actually left plenty of players who still return to the game today, 17 years since its original release and with hundreds of other zombie games in the rearview mirror.
