New Co-Op FPS Game Is Like Gunfire Reborn Meets Monster Hunter

An upcoming co-op FPS game on Steam called Guns and Dragons has been described by many fans as "Gunfire Reborn with base-building," but it also appears to incorporate some Monster Hunter-like gameplay elements. Gunfire Reborn is one of the most successful examples of an FPS Steam game with dungeon-crawler mechanics, and Guns and Dragons seems poised to achieve similar success with its own unique spin on the subgenre.

The South Korean studio behind Guns and Dragons is ABUTTON, which was founded by former Nexon executive Kim Dae-hwan. Many of its lead designers and developers have also previously worked on renowned games such as Counter-Strike Online. Interestingly, the ABUTTON CEO previously spoke about an unannounced project inspired by "games like Rust and Seven Days to Die, which combine base building and survival." He was likely referring to Guns and Dragons, although its current visuals look very different from those games.
