Xbox's Aaron Greenberg has confirmed a number of big titles that will be shown off at the publisher's booth during Gamescom 2024. Geoff Keighley's Opening Night Live is once again set to kick off Gamescom week in Cologne, Germany, which will take place from August 21 to August 25. Gamescom serves as an opportunity for some of gaming's biggest publishers, like Xbox, to give fans a final glimpse at some of their big games before they release during the Fall.
Xbox has had a solid 2024 so far in terms of game releases and especially in terms of its showcases. Its second annual Developer Direct kicked the year off right with extended looks at Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and even a surprise appearance from Square Enix, who showcased its upcoming fantasy RPG Visions of Mana. Later on, Xbox held what many believe was its greatest June showcase ever. Xbox fans were enthralled by the dark, gritty, and nostalgic announcement trailer of Gears of War: E-Day, the stunning gameplay reveals of South of Midnight and Perfect Dark, and the literal bone-crunching reveal of Bethesda's Doom: The Dark Ages, among many other surprises....
