The Eternal Life Of Goldman Is A Hand-Crafted Platformer, Coming To All Platforms

The Eternal Life of Goldman just premiered at the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase. This was our first look at the game, with the reveal giving us a mix of gameplay and cinematics.

The Eternal Life of Goldman is a completely new IP and is a platformer that puts players in the role of the titular protagonist, Goldman. However, its most eye-catching feature is its art and animation style, as it seems like almost everything on screen is constantly in motion and drawn by hand.

Ahead of the world premiere today, THQ Nordic went into slightly more detail on its latest IP at a preview event. Here, a developer was keen to hammer home that everything we see on screen is hand-painted and hand-animated. They also made it clear that generative AI was not used as part of the process, stressing that the game is the result of "years of dedication", even if that took much longer.
