A legendary Pokemon Scarlet and Violet event is officially over for good on August 6. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have seen the end of multiple features this year, starting with no new seasons after Season 41, Pokemon Champions taking over as the main VGC hub, and recurring events coming to a close. While this is in preparation for the launch of Pokemon Winds and Waves in 2027, it can be sad and destabilizing for long-time players given that Gen 9 has been around for almost four years now.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Summer 2026 events kicked off on July 17 with a 7-Star Tera Raid for Mightiest Mark Magikarp, which is only obtainable this way, and also included multiple mass outbreaks for Water-type Pokemon. The Magikarp event came as a surprise, with the Pokemon being extremely rare due to the Mightiest Mark, and some of the mass outbreaks are even better. These allow players to catch some rare Pokemon with an increased chance of having a Mark, which is a pretty big deal for collectors.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet officially entered their fourth year since release, and there are many good reasons to replay them in 2026....
