Howl's Moving Castle Meets Stardew Valley In This Charming Freebie

Released for the first time back in 2004, Howl's Moving Castle is yet another Studio Ghibli hit, and as a Welsh person myself, I cannot help but point out that its inspiration came from the 1986 novel of the same name by Diana Wynne Jones. Telling the story of Sophie, a young milliner who lives in a fictional kingdom home to both magic and 20th-century technology, she soon finds herself turning into an old woman after a customer curses her. Luckily, she encounters a young wizard known as Howl, but things soon get even more complicated when Sophie learns that the man refuses to fight for the king in the ongoing war.

The movie was met with critical acclaim, going on to win multiple awards in the process and now, two decades on, Howl's Moving Castle is still as beloved as ever, with both Sophie and Howl being iconic fictional characters. That is why Howl is set to make an appearance in one of the most successful farming simulator titles of all time: Stardew Valley.
