Blizzard is preparing another round of changes to Diablo 4 Mythic items as a result of continued player feedback indicating that the move is necessary. The controversial Season 14 system is thus set for another overhaul, with the next Diablo 4 PTR introducing a more deterministic method for upgrading existing Uniques into Mythics.
Season of Death Awakening launched in Diablo 4 on June 30 with Mythic Uniques 3.0, which transformed Mythic from a separate rarity into an item quality that any Unique can acquire. Under the current Horadric Cube system, converting an eligible Unique generates a random, class-compatible Mythic for the same equipment slot and rerolls the original item's affixes and modifications. Blizzard previously narrowed the pool of possible outcomes after PTR feedback, but substantial randomness remained at the highest level of Diablo 4's item progression.
Diablo 4 has a Rogue build that's so powerful in Season 14 that playing it can cause the game's servers to lag due to the overwhelming attack spam.
