The Legend of Zelda is having a very big year in 2026, with the franchise celebrating 40 years since it took its first pixelated steps on to our screens. Though I wasn't personally around for that, I have been for much of what came since, and it really has been a pretty remarkable run that's well worth celebrating as a community.
The major news has obviously been confirmation of the Ocarina of Time remake, which is set to launch later this year (though we still haven't had a full reveal). The movie is also well underway, and there should be a Nintendo Direct along at some point that better explains what we can expect from all that.
While we wait, there are plenty of other exciting things coming down the pipeline, including a new physical release for those of you who are still playing the last mainline game in the single-player series.
