Released back in November 2024, offering fans the chance to play the first open-world Star Wars game, Star Wars Outlaws takes us to the period of time between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The story follows Kay Vess, a scoundrel who finds herself in deep water with a crime syndicate. As such, the only way she can escape her debt is to assemble a team and take part in a daring heist.
Despite receiving generally favorable reviews at launch, the opinion on Star Wars Outlaws has changed over the years, with many players criticizing its bugs and unpolished state. Not only that, but thanks to a competitive release window and an expensive development budget, Ubisoft later revealed that it had not reached its sales targets.
