It's looking like a pretty jam-packed end to the year for video games, with October and November both bursting with big titles that threaten to devour both our cash and free time. It's a real wrestling match between developers for our attention, but Xbox and Obsidian reckon the fight isn't worth the risk.
In a new post on the official Xbox Twitter account, the company has confirmed previous reports that Avowed will be pushed back from its original release date of 2024 in order to give the title "some breathing room." Instead, Avowed is now launching on February 18, 2025, a month which doesn't currently include any other big game launches.
Avowed is a next-gen RPG from Obsidian Entertainment. It is set in the same world as the developer's Pillars of Eternity series, and is played in first person. In the Living Lands of Eora, you must put an end to a mysterious plague.
