Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere universe has rapidly become one of the biggest worlds in the fantasy genre, both in terms of the amount of words written for it, and the scale of the sales for books set within it. Of all those releases, the Mistborn Saga and Stormlight Archive are the most significant, with the latter arguably the most popular in 2026.
As such, it feels like a series that's criminally underserved in terms of additional adaptations, particularly when compared to the other heavy hitters in the genre as a whole. That said. there is a potential new release that is about to head into its first crowdfunding phase, and if you are a fan, it may well be one to get involved with at this early stage.
Over on the official Brotherwise Games website, the developer shared a post confirming that their new project, Stormlight: War for Roshar, is set to launch onto Kickstarter in the Fall of this year. With fulfillment planned for 2027, it's a highly ambitious adaptation that will also be available to purchase from traditional retail channels, after the fact.
