Patch 1.1.0.0 is live. Kord Breach, Escape from Tarkov's first official season, launches today after server downtime, and it is the largest update to hit the game since 1.0 arrived late last year. New weapons, a reworked task system, a free battle pass, economy changes across all modes, and a seasons system that changes what a Tarkov wipe actually means in 2026.
The patch has been anticipated for a while, and the delay from its original July window stretched patience a little further than most players expected. Game director Nikita Buyanov pushed the update to August 3rd to give the team additional time, extending the ongoing Blackout in-game event in the interim.
It is here now, and the scope of it reflects why Battlestate took the extra time. Kord Breach touches nearly every system in the game in some way, from how tasks are structured to how the economy functions to how new players are supported when things go wrong.
