Big Walk Has Come Out Of Nowhere To Compete With The Highest-Rated Games Of The Year

Just when you thought the jostling at the top of the review charts might take a break for the summer ahead of what will be one of the busiest Septembers on record for new games, an unlikely contender has reared its head. Big Walk launches today, and it has some of the best review scores of the year so far.

The Big Walk reviews have been trickling in at a steady pace rather than all going live at once, but there are now enough of them to discern that, critically, House House’s new game is a hit, a big one. Big Walk has an 87 on OpenCritic, which puts it on par with the likes of 007 First Light and Denshattack, but its Metacritic where its score really blows the competition away.

Right now, Big Walk has a 93 on Metacritic, making it the second-highest-rated game of the year. The only game stopping it from wearing the MC crown is Sektori, which has a 94. Big Walk currently has just 13 reviews on OC, and even fewer on MC at just 11. Now that the game is more widely available, more reviews will get published over the coming days....
