Brand-New Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Showcase Confirmed for October 30

Resident Evil has made headlines lately for its recent waves of success, and a new celebratory release for its 30th anniversary has also been announced. Indeed, the Resident Evil franchise has always been popular, but recent news makes that feel like a true understatement.

The Resident Evil 2 remake recently became the best-selling game in the franchise, Resident Evil Requiem is the fastest-selling game in the franchise, and Zach Cregger's Resident Evil movie is hitting in September. Not to mention, the next remake in Resident Evil: Veronica is set for 2027, and Resident Evil Requiem is rumored to get DLC sometime in 2027, too. It's easy to forget, amid all this, that Resident Evil celebrated its 30th anniversary on March 22, 2026, but a new showcase to mark the occasion is planned for October 30.

An upcoming Steam release looks like it'll be a unique and fun melding of Resident Evil Zero and Star Fox.
