The Songs of the Past DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has just had its first official trailer revealed by developer CD Projekt RED as part of Gamescom 2026. Earlier this year, the Polish developer confirmed the Songs of the Past DLC, 10 years after the RPG’s launch in 2015. This is expected to be the final major content update for the game, as CD Projekt RED is actively working on its sequel, The Witcher 4. The game does not yet have an official release date, but the company has confirmed a release date for The Witcher 4 in 2028.
Before that happens, however, fans of the series will likely be playing through the Songs of the Past DLC. As seen during the Opening Night Live presentation for Gamescom 2026 on The Game Awards channel on YouTube, the Songs of the Past DLC for The Witcher 3 has had its first trailer revealed. It had already been confirmed that the expansion would arrive for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2027, but now we have an idea of what it will offer, including a new weapon on Geralt's final adventure.
