Bloober Team Knows How Sceptical Fans Are About Silent Hill 2 Remake

Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno has admitted that the team is well aware of how sceptical fans are about it handling the Silent Hill 2 remake and that it just wants a chance to prove itself.

Silent Hill fans have spent the last decade and a bit begging Konami to do anything with the series after ditching it in 2012 and then ruining the chance for a revival with Hideo Kojima in 2014. Well, it only took eight years, but that's exactly what has been happening ever since Konami announced in 2022 that it was bringing the series back in several big ways.

"Bad" combat makes for more thrilling gameplay moments, right?

While it's true that Silent Hill fans got their wish, it did feel a little like it was granted by a Monkey's Paw when it was revealed that Bloober Team would be remaking Silent Hill 2, one of the most beloved and carefully crafted horror games of all time. Bloober has received criticism in the past for how it handles sensitive topics and subtle scares, so it's fair to say that fans have been very sceptical.
