In what can only be described as a pretty transparent attempt to distract everyone from all the layoffs at Microsoft, Bethesda recently announced Fallout 5 alongside remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, plus another new Fallout game from Obsidian. It's a funny feeling, to get what you want in completely the wrong way.
We still don't know exactly when Fallout is returning, or which game will be first. I think we can safely assume Fallout 5 will be last, though. In the meantime, there's something else to look forward to: a Fallout 2 remake project that aims to rebuild the 1998 game in Fallout 4's engine, which is still going strong.
