Sony reveals two back-to-back State of Play broadcasts for later this week, featuring new announcements for its PlayStation brands from first-party studios and its partners, as well as a new look at Final Fantasy 7 Revelations. With the massive rush of new game releases on the horizon, Sony is planning to give PlayStation fans another look at some of the biggest titles to hit later this year and into 2027.
Despite still being mired in controversy with players, Sony is pushing ahead with a look at some of its biggest games still yet to arrive. Marvel's Wolverine is right around the corner, Ghost of Yotei is getting a Complete Edition, and God of War Laufey is looking to become one of the biggest releases of 2027. However, it seems like Sony is pushing away from the PC market, with a new PlayStation ad campaign centered around "Only on PS5" phrasing. Considering the difficulties with many PC ports, it seems Sony is choosing to simply move away rather than continue trying.
Sony could be considering making a change to its previously revealed digital-only approach, thanks to a recent move from Xbox.
