A group of passionate Sly Cooper fans are bringing the franchise to the PC for the first time, working on getting Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus running on PC. The Sly Cooper port would be the first time the franchise has had a native playable version on PC.

The stealth games centered around the titular raccoon protagonist quickly became one of Sony's most popular franchises of the early 2000s. The Sly Cooper series had its heyday on the PlayStation 2, releasing a trilogy of games that received universal praise from fans and critics alike. Though Sucker Punch has referenced Sly Cooper in games like Ghost of Yotei, the franchise has not received a fully new game in over a decade since the release of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time in 2012. Now, a group of Sly Cooper fans are attempting to develop a native port of the original game on PC.

Sony confirms a dual State of Play event for its PlayStation brand and fans don't have to wait long to see what the company has planned.
