The Legend of Zelda may have moved on from Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, and a new puzzle game set should appeal to fans of both of those games. Is it too early to feel nostalgic for BOTW and TOTK? I'll let you decide. But the new brain-teaser series from The Legend of Zelda will at least scratch that Zelda itch until a new video game drops.

Despite being the series' 40th anniversary this year, 2026 hasn't seen an original Zelda game release. The closest thing might just be the Ocarina of Time remake coming out later this year, which is exciting on its own, but is still a remake of a game most of us have played already (more than once, if you played the 3DS remake too). We also have the movie coming out in 2027, but none of the upcoming releases seem to be focused on BOTW or TOTK.
