More news is slowly trickling in about Final Fantasy 7 Revelation now that Gamescom 2026 has come to an end. As with Summer Game Fest in June, the director of the RPG, Naoki Hamaguchi, has given new interviews related to FF7 Revelation. This has given us insights on new playable characters, the game's map, and even changes from the original 1997 masterpiece's story.
As anyone who's played the first two games in the remake trilogy knows, story changes aren't exactly uncommon. FF7 Rebirth had numerous changes and additions that made it feel like a truly unique experience. So, unsurprisingly, the story changes in FF7 Revelation might just be even more noticeable. However, there's one confirmed change that Final Fantasy fans are already feeling pretty angry about — and honestly, I get it.
