The Star Wars sequel trilogy is obviously the most divisive of the bunch, and in fairness, it is quite easy to understand why once you have seen all of them. That said, it did have plenty of redeeming features, and it's a big part of the franchise as a whole by mere fact of its existence, so it would be a shame if it were to be left behind entirely.
What exactly that would look like moving forward is unclear, but additional stories set during that period would actually help to flesh out what feels like the thinnest offering we've had from a narrative perspective. While we wait to see if Disney plans to tend to that bit of the timeline further, there is another release coming along that draws on the last three films, and it's in an entirely different medium.
