Xbox Game Pass has been inconsistent this year in terms of value, and after a price hike that was later reversed, fans are wondering whether the service will bring it in 2026.
Other than first-party day-one exclusives, that value is purely in the eye of the beholder. While heavy-hitters like Fable are still slated to arrive as day-one Xbox Game Pass titles, there are plenty of third-party games on offer, and a ton of freebies.
Just this month, Xbox pulled back the curtain on Xbox Game Pass through their Xbox Wire blog, and there's a lot on the way for September. There's also a lot leaving the service this month too, as it's a pretty packed month for Xbox Game Pass news.
Kicking things off with Shelldiver (a submarine-based game where you explore ocean biomes), Xbox Game Pass has officially entered its September era, with multiple games to follow. We're notably getting an older Call of Duty in Black Ops Cold War, as well as the full 1.0 release of RuneScape: Dragonwilds on September 15.
