Apple has new leadership in charge, as the Cupertino tech giant is now led by chief executive John Ternus, who takes over for Tim Cook after the latter served 15 years at the post. The change at the top of Apple came just a few months after the company's 50th anniversary was observed.
As the outgoing CEO of Apple, Cook took over after the death of the company's co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs. During his tenure, Cook saw the release of multiple product lineups, including the Apple Watch, the iPad, and later iPhone iterations. In 2025, Cook also helped ensure that some Apple products were excluded from the Trump administration's tariffs placed on goods imported from countries such as China, which were later overturned by the US Supreme Court in 2026.
