It's an incredibly exciting time to be a fan of The Legend of Zelda. Nintendo is finally kicking off the series' 40th anniversary with a brand-new Zelda-themed Nintendo Direct next week. During the event, we're guaranteed a deeper look at the Ocarina of Time remake, and I'd bet all my Link Amiibo that the first trailer for the live-action movie will be shown too. Beyond that, I'm sure we can expect a few more surprises.

Even before Nintendo showers us with more Zelda goodness, there are tons of official 40th anniversary releases coming out in the next few months. This month, for instance, we're getting a brand-new Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo and a Breath of the Wild vinyl. Then, in October, a special new book about the lore and development of Tears of the Kingdom will release. Then, finally, December will see the release of a gorgeous new premium collector's item — one that comes with a premium price tag to match.
