18 Years Later, A Beloved PlayStation 2 JRPG Is Coming To PS5

Launched almost two decades ago and finally getting its time back in the spotlight courtesy of Sony, a stunning trailer for one PlayStation 5 remake of a classic PlayStation 2 role-playing game has been unveiled.

Announced during Xbox’s Gamescom Broadcast which took place last Wednesday, the game in question is none other than Persona 4 Revival, an enhanced version of 2012's Persona 4 Golden which just so happens to be an enhanced version of 2008's Persona 4. You thought The Last of Us had too many remasters?

Set to make a return for modern-day platforms, including the PlayStation 5, Persona 4 Revival is developed by P-Studio and during the Xbox event, a brand-new story trailer was shown despite the game first being announced during last year's Xbox Showcase.

As a "faithful reproduction" of Persona 4 Golden's story, Persona 4 Revival follows the story of a teenager who moves to the fictional Japanese countryside town of Inaba.
