With a six-year gap between the original Death Stranding and its 2025 sequel, it's not often the fans of the Kojima Productions franchise have something new to look forward to. That's about to change, after a brand-new Death Stranding release was confirmed for 2027.
The original Death Stranding was the first game from legendary game director Hideo Kojima following his split from Konami. Originally exclusive to the PlayStation 4, the game was a success, but it wasn't until six years later that its sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, was finally released. Outside the games, work on a Death Stranding movie adaptation also continues. However, this upcoming 2027 release is something completely different.
