Civilization 7 will receive its biggest update yet in 2027, developer Firaxis confirms. The Arc of Tomorrow update for Civilization 7 will finally add the long-awaited Atomic Age to the 2025 grand strategy game. Best of all, Firaxis announced that Arc of Tomorrow will come as a free update to all Civilization 7 players.
Coming two years after its original launch, the Arc of Tomorrow update is poised to breathe new life into Civilization 7 after the game slid to "Mixed" Steam reviews. Despite a history of free updates over the past two years, including the Test of Time update in May of this year, Civilization 7 hasn't quite hit its stride yet. However, the introduction of the Atomic Age in the Arc of Tomorrow update stands as one of the most-requested features from fans, which could be enough to bring players back into the Civ 7 fold.
Fans of the Mad Max franchise and Sid Meier's Civilization games should keep an eye on this upcoming title, which appears to blend both IPs.
