A massive Steam leak has uncovered a previously unknown multiplayer horror game based on the Scream franchise, complete with a playable build featuring Ghostface. The enormous Steam archive contains years of old development files and unreleased material that users have continued examining since it surfaced online.
The wider leak reportedly contains roughly 12TB of Steam files dating from 2003 through 2013, including prototypes, beta builds, and other development material. Much of the initial attention naturally focused on the possibility of discovering unfinished Valve projects, but the archive also contains material from third-party developers that apparently passed through Steam's development infrastructure. That has turned the leak into a much broader look at gaming history, with one of its more surprising discoveries being an online Scream project that seemingly disappeared before the public ever knew it existed.
