Dungeon Crawler Carl really does feel like it’s everywhere right now, and it’s difficult to think of a relatively recent original creation that’s just as worthy of that spotlight. The sci-fi fantasy LitRPG was created by Matt Dinniman, and follows the humans who remain after they were forced underground when an alien corporation destroys Earth's surface.
There, they are essentially forced to survive in the dungeon that was created for them as part of an intergalactic reality show watched by billions of aliens from across the universe. That’s obviously an extremely cool premise, and it’s no surprise that it has now picked up so much momentum for adaptations into other mediums.
Now, the latest of those has been confirmed, and it’s due for a full launch later this year.
Over on the Renegade Game Studios website, the company has confirmed the upcoming release of Dungeon Crawler Carl Unstoppable. If you weren’t familiar with it already, Unstoppable is a card-crafting and roguelike deck-building board game that’s specifically designed for one player.
