A new Pokemon release is once again set in the Kanto region, but the twist is that it takes place 50 years after the events of Gold and Silver. The Kanto region is the setting of the original Pokemon games, and considering the incredible nostalgia tied to it, it's no surprise that it's the most-revisited region in the entire franchise.
Pokemon Red and Blue take place in the Kanto region, as does Pokemon Yellow. The Kanto region was revisited in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, GBA-era remakes that were later released for the Nintendo Switch. Another pair of Kanto region remakes, Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, are also set in the Kanto region. Even Pokemon Gold and Silver, which primarily take place in the Johto region, give players the chance to return to the Kanto region in their endgame. Now Pokemon fans have yet another chance to revisit the Kanto region, but this time 50 years after the events of Gold and Silver.
Pokemon fan games allow creative game makers to design custom adventures, often featuring fakemon, new regions, new storylines, and new game modes.
A future Kanto region is the setting of the new Pokemon...
