Lovers of physical games were finally given some good news last week when Xbox started to roll out its disc-to-digital initiative. In more good news, new release, Onimusha: Way of the Sword is disc-to-digital compatible. The bad news is you’re going to have trouble finding a physical copy of the new game on Xbox.
Xbox didn’t provide a list of compatible games when it opened its disc-to-digital feature up to Insiders last week. It just confirmed that it works with thousands of physical games. With that, the Xbox community got to work. XCT.live, a site tracking which games are compatible, has already checked 1,879 games, and Way of the Sword is confirmed to be one of the 1,391 games that lets you redeem its digital license if you own a physical copy.
