Haunted Chocolatier Gets Encouraging Update

Stardew Valley and Haunted Chocolatier developer Eric Barone, better known as ConcernedApe, has offered another update on the long-awaited game, confirming that development is still moving forward. To keep expectations in check, Barone did not reveal extensive new details or comment on Haunted Chocolatier's release date, but more or less just checked in with his supportive community.

Barone has previously acknowledged that Haunted Chocolatier is taking a long time to develop, with his June 25 update explaining that he continues to carefully revisit many aspects of the game. That process includes systems players may interact with frequently, which he wants to feel polished, intuitive, and satisfying before the game is released. He also admitted that he spends considerable time refining small details that players may ultimately take for granted once everything works as intended.
